150 N 5th Street / The Rialto

From its conception, the Rialto was designed with design-conscious urbanities in mind. A carriage house conversion, the building was built with the best construction and the highest quality products. The project is the essence of loft living at competitive prices, comprised of 31 architectural units including studios, 1 bedrooms, and 2 bedrooms apartments, all of which offer large-open layouts. These striking aesthetics seamlessly blend pre-war elegance with sleek and modern finishes. High coffered ceilings and uncommonly large rooms are hallmarks of the building, while a video doorman provides security and convenience to all owners. With top-of-the-line, energy efficient appliances, low E windows, central heating and AC systems, oversized windows, soaring ceiling heights, designer bathrooms, breathtaking views, with many of the units offering spacious private terrace and fireplaces, life does not get better than at The Rialto.

The Rialto was developed by Ted Hovivian, who had owned the Rialto Furniture store formerly on the site. It was designed by Gene Kaufman and its sleek, modern facade is highlighted by slightly protruding but thin window frames and a terrance with rounded and a windowed bay beneath a curved smaller terrace. Interiors were designed by Andres Escobar and some units have fireplaces.
